John Edwards: TRACKERS.

The trackers possessed an integral knowledge of the landscape so the establishment – the police force and the law – wanted to utilize this, to hire them to bring escaped criminals to justice. I tried to imagine the trackers’ lives.
Their faces here reveal the outback terrain they journey through, their knowledge and resilience. As such, I hope that through art their stories may evolve to contribute an evolving sense of place for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the landscape.  ~ John Edwards 2020.
