Artists' work shown in this Site are authentic & Original works of Art
Every work in this site is an authentic and original work of art, each artist guarantees the integrity of their original art work and holds the title, copyright and moral rights in the work.
- Original Artworks include limited edition Artist prints made by the artist using traditional techniques of Intaglio including etching; Relief including lino-cut, wood block and related; Serigraphy including screen-printing; Lithography and related combinations of these processes.
- The artist wholly creates the artwork using what is often a very time-consuming and skilled process from start to finish.
- The artist may use a master printer to edition the final work.
- In general Artist hand printmaking editions are very limited - usually between 8 and 30 prints subject to the print technique used and whether editioned by a Master Printmaker who is not the Artist.
- Artist proofs (A/P) are generally limited to 2 prints (and no more than 10% of the final edition size) and effectively considered identical to the edition. The Artist Proof is used by the artist printmaker, or the master printer,to reference against during the edition process to create a "true" edition.
- This integrity of technique means that you can buy a work from the edition in the knowledge they will be substantially identical to the rest of the edition.
Please Note:
Original Art does not include Digital Reproductions, Poster Prints, Giclée prints, or any other reproduction method used to make prints "reproduced from an original art work that was made in another medium" - this is not an original artwork even if signed by the artist. These are reproductions!
