Congratulations to David Asher Brook, whose painting, Topography (x), has been selected as a finalist for the 2018 Pro Hart Outback Art Prize.
The Outback Art Prize (recently renamed the Pro Hart Outback Art Prize) is an annual acquisitive competition showcasing work in any media which reflects the spirit and diversity of the Australian Outback. The winning work will be added to the nationally recognised collection of the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery.
Broken Hill City Council Gallery and Museum Manager, Tara Callaghan, said “the panel had a very difficult job in narrowing the field to 49 finalists. …and I can´t wait for it all to go on display at our launch event.”
This years prize judge is Gordon Morrison, who has had an extensive career in arts and culture, including senior positions with the National Gallery of Victoria and the Art Gallery of Ballarat.
Exhibition Dates: 03 August – 23 September 2018.
