Buying original Art Online - Frequently asked questions
Artists' work shown in this Site are authentic & Original works of Art
Every work in this site is an authentic and original work of art, each artist guarantees the integrity of their original art work and holds the title, copyright and moral rights in the work.
- Title in the work is transferred directly from the Artist/Consignor to the buyer at the time the artwork is paid for in this Site.
- Copyright in each work is and remains with the Artist - All rights reserved.
our Artist Printmakers' Limited editions are Authentic & Original works of art
- Original Artworks include limited edition Artist prints made by the artist using traditional techniques of Intaglio including etching; Relief including lino-cut, wood block and related; Serigraphy including screen-printing; Lithography and related combinations of these processes.
- The artist wholly creates the artwork using what is often a very time-consuming and skilled process from start to finish.
- The artist may use a master printer to edition the final work.
- In general Artist hand printmaking editions are very limited - usually between 8 and 30 prints subject to the print technique used and whether editioned by a Master Printmaker who is not the Artist.
- Artist proofs (A/P) are generally limited to 2 prints (and no more than 10% of the final edition size) and effectively considered identical to the edition. The Artist Proof is used by the artist printmaker, or the master printer,to reference against during the edition process to create a "true" edition.
- This integrity of technique means that you can buy a work from the edition in the knowledge they will be substantially identical to the rest of the edition.
Please Note:
Original Art does not include Digital Reproductions, Poster Prints, Giclée prints, or any other reproduction method used to make prints "reproduced from an original art work that was made in another medium" - this is not an original artwork even if signed by the artist. These are reproductions!

Our Artists provide us with the price of their work under our Australian Agency Agreement
Our Artists (the Artist/Consignor) provide us with the price of their work under an Australian Representation Agreement, whereby we act as the Artists' Agent (Agent Gallery) for all sales of their work within Australia and online.
- Our Artists protect their reputation, and your investment in purchasing their work, by not underselling their own reputation and their profile value based on consistent sales achieved for their work.
- The Artist price is the same wherever the artists' work is available for sale - it does not go up or down based on inclusions such as 'free delivery/returns’, or other discounted incentives.
- All Artist prices in this Site, are the same Artist price in our physical Galleries and Stockroom.
- Artist price/profile value increases over time with consistent development of reputation and career profile, including: previous sales achieved in reputable Commercial Galleries; finalist Award achievements; selection in finalist Award/Prize exhibitions; critical recognition, publications, etc.; inclusion in curated public & commercial exhibitions (excluding rental venues); Commercial Gallery Representation & solo exhibitions; and most importantly, recognition by acquisition into significant Public and Corporate Collections in Australia and Internationally.
Our gallery team provides steady curatorial consistency in nurturing our artists profile and reputations, through a strong mentoring program over a long period ensuring your investment in supporting our local and Australian Artists is not undervalued.
