Congratulations to our artist, Kerry Johns, selected as finalist in the 2018 NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize.

This year there were two levels of judging for the prize. A judging panel first considered all entries based on the electronic files submitted, then invited selected artists to deliver works for the final selection for exhibition.
The finalist selection panel Judges were: Tesha Malott of Verge Gallery in Sydney, Rachel Ellis, Plein Air Prize winner 2017, and Rita Bila from the NSW Parliament.

Steven Alderton, Director and CEO of the National Art School, will select the winning prize from the exhibition finalists exhibited at Parliament House, Sydney and the winner is awarded $20,000. The winning painting permanently enters the collection of the New South Wales Parliament.

The announcement of the Award Winner and Highly Commended will be made on the evening of 17 October.
