Congratulations to Kerry Johns, whose 2016 EMSLA Art Award winning painting Flowers in a Window, has been acquired for the Still lIfe Collection of Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery, NSW.

This landscape was regularly encountered on the way back from camping in Namadji National Park near Canberra. The flowers were painted from life, en plein air, to represent a token of welcome. Bright flowers on the sill are like a candle in a window, calling the loved one home. ~ Kerry Johns 2016.
